The Shortlist

Watch as HRH The Price of Wales (now King) Charles and Sir Jony Ives (RCA Chancellor) announce the finalists for the 2022 Terra Carta Design Lab — including team Xellyfish!

Each project uses #design to address this global issue with solutions ranging from seaweed paper and tire-dust traps, to zero-waste fashion systems and aerial reforestation. The initiative was launched in July 2021 by HRH The Prince of Wales and Sir Jony Ive as part of the Sustainable Markets Initiative and in collaboration with the RCA.

There was a massive response from the RCA community with 125 submissions demonstrating the positive impact that can be made when design, art, science and engineering come together to produce innovative solutions to climate change.
